英特尔公司员工尼尔森最近到亚洲出差，二日从香港搭机到台湾，飞了几个钟头还没有到，他觉得不太对劲。
机舱萤光幕打出飞行路线图，他赫然发现这架班机不是前往台湾的桃园（TaoYuan）国际机场，却是到中国大陆内陆的山西太原（Taiyuan）。他说：“这有如当头棒喝，因为我发现自己到了位于蒙古边界以南两百哩的地方，让我不知所措。”
三十九岁的尼尔森此行是奉派到六个中国城市洽谈业务，而旅行社显然安排班机失误，使他被困在大陆内陆。
他五日历劫归来，在西雅图国际机场激动地与妻子和三个年幼的孩子重聚，余悸犹存地叙述这段意外的旅程。
飞机抵达人口一百五十万的太原后，他拚命想要弄清楚自己究竟到了哪里，并找地方落脚，结果马上碰到语言障碍，莫名其妙进了一家妓院，经过一番挣扎才脱身。
他回到太原的小机场，发现机场即将打烊，而且不准他在里面过夜。幸而他碰到一名略通英文的热心年轻女子，找朋友借了一点钱给这个落难的美国佬，并开车送他到旅馆。
尼尔森在旅馆打了几通国际电话求援。想不到提领电汇现款并安排班机离开太原，就花了几天。
他在太原大街小巷找了几个钟头，总算找到一家银行可以让他提领美国运通公司电汇给他的现金。接着他又花了几个钟头想办法把他的帐户资料翻译成中文，以便拿到钱。
在这个过程中他碰到各种意想不到的危险和屈辱。为了躲避横冲直撞的汽车，他扭伤了腰和腿，还得闪避路人吐痰。
尼尔森最后终于拿到美国运通电汇的款项，可以搭机离开太原。他在机场与帮过他的热心人会面、把钱还给他们，并向他们道谢。
他经由北京飞往温哥华，最后回到西雅图。在机场他紧紧拥着妻小，用十六个月大的女儿印着卡通图案的恤衫的粉红色帽子猛擦眼泪，庆幸长达四天的惊魂之旅终于平安结束。

The new Zune browser is surprisingly good, but not as good as the iPod's. It works well, but isn't as fast as Safari, and has a clunkier interface. If you occasionally plan on using the web browser that's not an issue, but if you're planning to browse the web alot from your PMP then the iPod's larger screen and better browser may be important.
