Hands down, Apple's app store wins by a mile. It's a huge selection of all sorts of apps vs a rather sad selection of a handful for Zune. Microsoft has plans, especially in the realm of games, but I'm not sure I'd want to bet on the future if this aspect is important to you. The iPod is a much better choice in that case.

Just the other day, while rummaging through the back garage, as my wife and I were rearranging boxes to make room for the new pool table, I came across that old jacket that was replaced a few years back. As I opened the box, I notices several T-Shirts that the wife put away, thinking she was being ploy with my belongings. Under the T's was a familiar site, the old leather jacket that held so many fine memories. She didn't throw it away after all. Sometimes, it amazes me with some of the things a woman will do. Not that that's a bad thing, women and men just think differently and what a woman will keep stowed away, is not necessarily what a man would keep.

I agree using AESDirect to file your EEI is a major improvement over filing the paper forms.
One of the problems I think most filers face when working with a freight forwarder, especially if it's a routed shipment. Is not having the particular vessel information to properly file your EEI.
One way is to create your shipment and supply as much information as you can. For the departure date, simply provide a approximate future sailing date.
Have the freight forwarder send you the booking and vessel information so you can update the EEI information using AESDirect.
Also keep in mind that when using Import commodity codes they will not show up when searing export commodity codes. Remember you are allowed to use import and export commodity codes for exports.
When shipping with companies like FedEx or UPS they provide a portal where you can self file your EEI and receive your ITN. This will save you about $10 filling fee from the carrier.
Tip: Don't forget to use templates when using AESDirect, they will save you time when filing your EEI.
I hope this information is helpful.

I'm not sure if this is what Nick meant by "dual audience", but there is also the issue that normal blog comments can comment on each other, not just on the original posting, and thus allow a genuine discussion to occur. The return to a "letters to the editor" type feedback system removes this, which seems a great step backwards.

Also agree with Larry...Math degrees are extremely important also

I contemplate what ultimate role which the genetics of IVF perform int he passing on of neurological disorders. Possibly there really should start off to get a ASD examination of IVF donors just before donation because IF autism spectrum disorders turn out being genetic it should definitely be described as a disclosed exam for IVF recipients.

Hi,
I am a inventory manager for a chain of car dealerships in Georgia. After hearing about the transportation nightmare now in Haiti, the owner of my company has expressed interest in donating cars (read: tax benefits!) to Haitian orphanages. Now, used car donations is nothing new for us as we do it for tax purposes nearly every year, but I'm not sure where to get started on figuring this out as far as donating to Haiti. Can you point me in the right direction? Thanks.
Posted by: Adora | December 3, 2012 10:04 AM
There are many organizations providing the shipping for the cars, other vehicles and also for the accessories donated by the donors, Some of the organizations or charities are paying for these and some shipping companies are providing this for free of cost.

The reinterview idea seems like a good one. You have to have tried tracing your ancestry to understand the importance of getting yourself counted in the Census every ten years, whatever you have to do. Hopefully, you are fortunate enough to have had ancestors who participated in their Census, so that you are able to research your family tree effectively. Otherwise, your job will be more difficult. Think of your descendants and how they may in the future attempt to research your family tree.

I'm confounded by question 10 as it appears that it appears to contradict question 1.
Moreover, if enumerating college students is important to the census, how will it be able to differentiate between a residence with a group of student living off campus vs. a group of young, but random roommates?

Rosanna,
For the most part, I like the AES Direct system and applaud the paperless efforts of everyone. However, there have been some quirks using the system that I have experienced since the beginning. In order to have more control over compliance for my company, I try to complete the AES before the shipment ever leaves my dock. However, there are things that are out of my control like Departure date, port of Export or unlading, that I have no clue what the carrier is going to use for these fields. Sure, I can have the carrier file the AES on my behalf, but then I lose control and have no idea if a fatal error or other problem exists. There have also been times when I use a certain HTS number (that I know is still current because I check my numbers frequently all year) and the database comes back as an invalid number. Other than that, I think the changes that have been made to the program over the last couple of years have improved (like who thought of a search field where you type in a question mark and hit the tab key). Keep making positive changes and making it more user friendly and I bet there will be less compliance issues. I want to be in compliance and the easier it is, the better I will be. (I bet others as well).
Thanks

What Ohwillike is saying has not to do with languages, but with education. School children in China are taught to read classical Chinese. School children in the Arab countries are taught to read the language of the Quran. School children in England where until quite recently taught to read Latin. None of this says anything about the archaism or conservatism of the respective vernaculars.
